BOARD30 Founder / Instructor

Floery is the creator of the BOARD system. Trained in Pilates, she developed BOARD30 to treat the whole body. Based in the charming desert community of Santa Fe, the flagship studio represents a new approach to fitness with a focus on wellness, strength, longevity, and full- body integrity.

Karen Schardt
Santa Fe Studio Co-Owner / Instructor

Karen, a native New Yorker, moved to Santa Fe in 2013 after a long career fundraising for major universities such as Columbia and Johns Hopkins. An avid hiker, rider and lover of the outdoors, she was looking for a new form of exercise and discovered BOARD30. She loved it so much that she became a partner in the flagship Santa Fe studio in October, 2017.

Julie Baros / Instructor

Julie has worked in the fitness industry for almost 20 years as an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling and Family Studies from the University of New Mexico. She has taught at gyms throughout New Mexico and is passionate about helping others reach their goals, while gaining strength and confidence.

Stevie Staley
Instructor / Nutritionist

A Colorado Native, Stevie has worked in the health and wellness industry for 15 years. She has a background in Nutrition and Kinesiology, and works as a functional nutritional consultant and health chef. As a fitness enthusiast, Stevie was hooked immediately by BOARD30, finding it to be a completely innovative method to access the body.

Megan Keller
Instructor

After attending classes for over a year, Megan joins the BOARD30 team as an instructor. A lifelong athlete who never was really into the gym, she loves BOARD30 not only for the amazing workout it provides, but for the amazing, welcoming community.

Michelle Montoya
Instructor

Michelle has been a certified personal trainer/wellness coach for 15 years and holds certifications in level I nutrition, TRX, BOARD30, Active/ Isolated stretching and Energy Mastery. She works with all ages to develop strength conditioning, flexibility and balance however, she especially enjoys working with clients 50 and over. Her Goal is to help people achieve overall wellness inside and out!

Rebecca Berdel
Instructor

Rebecca has been jumping, chasing, and lifting things all her life–starting gymnastics at three, strength training by age 12, and earning honors as a high school track and field athlete. As an adult, she has deeply enjoyed both the mental and physical benefits of group fitness settings such as outdoor boot camps, cycling, Muay Thai, and everything in between. Working with a few incredible trainers inspired her to teach fitness professionally and she earned her RKC to instruct kettlebells as a tool for strength and grounding as well as her Board30 certification. Formerly a creative professional in Chicago and Los Angeles, Rebecca has found a true home in Santa Fe since 2015.

Karalyn Brindey
Instructor

Karalyn started as a client with Board30, and as a dancer, found that the class structure ap-pealed to her strength’s and weaknesses. She is a certified aerobics instructor, a spectacular hair stylist and now a certified Board30 instructor.

Laura Marturano
Instructor

A fitness enthusiast all her life, Laura found her passion in Muay Thai kickboxing. She competitively claimed the 2014 Thai Boxing Association's Women’s North American Bantamweight belt in the continent’s largest and most prestigious Muay Thai tournament. Despite her love for the sport, injuries racked up due to the physicality and violence of fighting. Tired of logging the same old workouts to maintain fitness she found Board30 and was immediately hooked. A former cardio kickboxing instructor, Laura found this full body workout to be efficient, effective, challenging, and anything but boring. She enjoys teaching classes to kick your butt.

Alyx Walkinshaw
Instructor

Alyx is honored to use movement as a way to connect and communicate with others. She is trained and certified in many different styles of yoga including Prana Vinyasa, Power, Yin, and Restorative Yoga. She is certified through Yoga Alliance (E-YRT) and has conducted instructor trainings, and workshops. Alyx completed her 500-hour teacher training in Prana Vinyasa with Shawn Parrell in Santa Fe in the spring of 2017 and has been actively teaching for over 7 years. Alyx is also certified in traditional mat Pilates.
